Botany Science and Crafts

This four-day camp will examine the connection between botany and crafts, using the scientific study of plants to inspire artistic exploration. US Forest Service botanist, Andrea Ruchty-Montgomery, will teach campers how to observe, study and document local flora. Campers will investigate why and how animals use these plant species and explore the interrelationships of the magical ecosystem we live in. Artist and teacher, Jenny Twohig, will help move discoveries from our brains out into our hands. Campers can expect to craft plant based projects that involve painting, drawing and sculpting.
